Custer State Park Visitor Center
The new world-class Visitors Center in Custer State Park welcomes guests and treats them to entertainment and education. Located just east of the famous Game Lodge, the facility sits between the base of a hill and a pond on Highway 36 and the tip of the Wildlife Loop. Guests enter into a large educational and interpretive learning hall. The hall is equipped with interactive exhibits and a climbing wall that is a replica of the “Eye of the Needle”. The exhibit hall blends into the information booth, gift shop, and theatre. A feature presentation movie theatre treats viewers to amazing views of the Park in Ultra High Definition 4K resolution and digital surround-sound audio. This project was delivered on time for peak season grand opening and within budget despite 45 days of undisputed weather delays.
