Pennington County Campus Expansion

Pennington County has expanded its facilities in a major way. The entire project consisted of four major undertakings:

  • New Relocated Evidence Building - 22,433 SF
  • Administration Building - 93,243 SF
  • Two Additional Floors to Existing Parking Structure - 59,500 SF
  • Renovation of Courthouse & Annex Building - 26,500 SF

The new facilities relieve space issues the County has had for many years. County leaders say the expansion boosts efficiency and creates a one-stop-shop experience. Similar services were combined onto one floor and routine business can now be conducted without passing through security. All of the county business offices moved to the new building, which leaves the Courthouse building to be used for court activity only. The $27 million in new construction also included site work and landscaping that will tie the campus together.
