Custer Hospital Opens
The new facility provides clinic care and hospital care with emergency services plus improved ambulance flow and a much safer heli pad. The City of Custer has invested in a new hospital that will serve the southern Black Hills area. The facility was made possible through a private-public funding partnership between the City and Regional Health. The new facility provides clinic care, hospital care, and emergency services with separate emergency and visitor entrances.
The Hospital space features eight patient rooms, one hospice suite, two emergency trauma rooms, two emergency treatment rooms, a family activity room, and physical/occupational/speech therapy center. Advanced features include an expanded laboratory, a diagnostic imaging suite, endoscopy suite, and a computerized tomography suite. The Clinic space features 18 exam rooms, two procedure rooms, four urgent care exam rooms, three infusion bays, and two separate waiting rooms.
